by singerchick~ Let me just start by saying how wonderful the past few weeks have been. I've fallen in love with the "lover of my soul" all over again and everything around me has just sort of seemed brighter, happier, more beautiful. Through His love my eyes are being opened everyday to new wonders, revelations and mysteries of His heart. Because of the realization of His love for me, I feel closer to my friends. Having connections with ladies that I've never had before in my entire thirty something years. Crazy, huh?
I believe that God is pouring out His love on His church in a new, fresh way. It's spreading like a wild fire. One person at a time. The light bulb is coming on. The realization of love is here. Grab it! It's yours and mine!
The Ladies Retreat was just a continuation of what God had already begun. We partied like rock stars! Like I had never partied before. We loved on each other and let God love on us. We sat by the pool and in the pool and talked. Oh the conversation was good, revelatory, and eye opening!
Our Papa is so good!!
So I originally started this post to tell a funny story but my fingers (and my heart) had a mind of their own. So I'll end with my story. It's the story of a mouse who had free reign in a dark, quiet house. "No scary people," the mouse thought, "this is my play ground." So he ran around with delight. Playing on kitchen counters, bathroom counters, under beds and even ON a bed where he had a little scare from a tiny person who made an awful noise with his nose. "No more beds," thought the mouse. So the playing continued all night. The little mouse was even cunningly skillful enough to dodge those traps that his friends had warned him about.
As the sun began to rise fear set in for the little mouse because he knew that the scary people would be roaming about soon and he had to get out of dodge. He searched and searched for a way out and could not find it. He heard footsteps. "Oh no, what am I to do?" the scared little mouse thought. He had no choice but to stay put in the dark space he was in. As he sat and waited his fears escalated moment by moment. His mind ran rampid with thoughts of what could happen to him. He could hear activity on the other side of the wall that caged him in his dark space. He knew without a doubt that the noise he heard was coming from the scary people.
Meanwhile the Queen of the castle woke up to a new day and jumped in the shower without any thought of a dirty little mouse. After her shower she went about her routine of drying off and preparing for her day. Then she opened the bathroom drawer. She reached her hand in to get an item and closed the drawer. Suddenly it occurred to her that something strange may have been in that drawer. She wasn't wearing her contacts yet so she thought that she could be mistaken. "I'll look again," she thought.
When she opened the drawer, she looked eyeball to eyeball with a nasty little mouse. She slammed the drawer and screamed. A loud piercing scream that could have been heard by all of the scary people in the land.
That scream was the undoing of the terrified little mouse. His heart could not take anymore and it stopped. At least he had one last night of fun before he entered into mousie heaven.
True story. Sort of.
