by plannerchick ~ Just a compilation of thoughts and things I've learned so far! After you read mine, you can add your own. I have learned a lot from the chicks dropping me little tidbits of info. It's always nice to hear how someone else did something or dealt with a situation, or to know that someone else out there struggled or had the same victory as you.
I don't always do exactly the same as they do, but it can always help you to get your own plan going! I have had several people say they would like us to do something like this, offer helpful hints. So here you go, some are just great things that I love about being a mommy, some are how I've handled a situation, and some are struggles.
Lately my chicklet has not been wanting to eat a lot of his veggies, so today I pulled the time old trick of a bite of fruit, a bite of veggies. He would just hold the veggies in his mouth until I put in the fruit, but hey he ate them!! One time he must have gotten a good taste of the mixture because he shuddered from head to toe, and made the funniest face. I was proud that we got finally got them down!
My baby boy has learned the fine art of anhing loudly (you know the sound) when he wants something. I have been telling him "no sir" when he does this over and over, but on the other hand I am the only way he has to get around right now, examples would be - I don't like sitting here anymore, I want that and can't reach it, I'm just plain mad and I want you to know about it right now.
About a month ago he started giving sugar, and I absolutely LOVE it. He will grab the sides of your face and open his mouth and give a huge "kiss". He will do it over and over, and look right at you and give you a big two tooth grin. It's his own way of saying I love you. It is the most beautiful thing.
I finally broke down and bought a paci clip on Wednesday. We only use it in the car because half the time he plays with his paci like a toy and ends up flinging it into the seat, but then when he's ready to sleep he wants it, and I have to either do a Chinese acrobat act to get it, or pull over. The paci clip has saved the day, I just find the ribbon and pull the paci of whereever he has lodged it (usually down by his side) and voila' happy baby.
I WANT TO PUT MY BABY IN FOOTSIE PAJAMAS!! And nowhere seems to be willing to help me out. They either only go to 9 months in footsie pj's (my baby is in 12 months now) or if they are footsie they are flamable (which I probably would not have cared or noticed if a sales associate hadn't pointed it out). They have these kind that are footsie but they snap around the waist and are 2 piece and I don't like them right now. Probably because my mind is set on something else. Maybe it's a stupid want, but it's my want!!!
Our night time nap is getting shorter and shorter, and I think it may be on it's way out. I am not the biggest fan of this because the short nap is making him fussy some nights. I sure it will eventually even out in the wash though.
He has gotten to the point where he gets good and tickled at stuff and will laugh so hard. It is the cutest thing in the world. His big brother especially can get him going. I love it!
I love being a mama, it is the most amazing thing. I love watching him grow and develop this adorable little personality. Just when I think my heart can't stand it, I fall even more in love with him (which I thought was impossible). He is such an amazing gift from God, and I feel so blessed that He allowed me to be a part of this precious little boys life. I cannot get enough of him.
Okay so those are my thoughts of late, and now I want to hear yours. Don't let the fact that mine are about a baby hold you back, if you have older kids please still leave a comment!
