 Some of you may have seen this already, if you haven't you should really watch it. I know its a little long but this woman has an amazing testimony. I have watched other videos of her and she says, I have been given the *gift* of cebrebral palsy. Not many people call that a gift!

 

 

dedication

A few weeks ago we had Banner's dedication at church. I loved this with both boys, giving them back to God and making a statement as a family that we will lead them in the way that we know is right. But this dedication was a little more emotional for me.

 
When I was about 24 weeks pregnant we found out that the doctor was seeing a few things that were not normal in the ultrasounds. One kidney was swollen, or much bigger than the other. My husband and I had a lot of emotions going on, and were really unsure of what was going on. We were told the issues were not severe and that he would be born like a normal baby but may have issues that we would have to take care of as he grows. When you are pregnant you never expect to hear anything is wrong with the life growing inside of you.  We prayed and cried, and just gave it to God and asked for His will in our baby's life.

He was born big and healthy and no issues on the outside. At the hospital we still had no questions answered and were told we would have to see a specialist. He was started on antibiotics and we went last week to see that specialist. Still no answers. The doctor said we needed more tests done.

With all of that being said, I am tired of depending on the doctors for answers. I am tired of being pushed from one place to the next to get an answer. I am tired of my 2 month old taking antibiotics. We gave him to God and asked for his will, and that is exactly what we will have!

back at it

 by babychick~  I went back to work last week and it feels like nothing ever changed. Besides the few extra pounds still lingering around and coming home to an extra child I feel as though nothing ever changed. My transition back to work was not as hard as I thought it would be, I mean I did it less than 2 years ago so I am a pro at it now. I had a few melt downs, but I'm better now. I miss the boys like crazy but I don't think I am meant to be a stay at home mom. I feel like I appreciate my kids so much more than I would if I were to be with them 24/7.

As for how big brother is getting along with a new brother, he loves it. He likes to give him kisses and hugs and tell me his brother is stinky(even though he's not). He likes to tell me to put the baby "up" when he wants to sit with me or love on me. I can't wait for them to be able to play with each other!

by babychick~  I'm a little late but here is however many randoms I can come up with.

1. Baby Banner is 4 weeks old today, and has been sleeping through the night since 3 weeks old. I don't mean to brag but I'm pretty sure I have the best babies ever! Superboy(since he is not a baby anymore) was an awesome baby but I really didn't know what I was doing then, so he didn't sleep through the night until about 2 months. So now with a  little experience and a great baby I feel like super mom!

2. Seeing that he is already 4 weeks old that means that I have to go back to work in 2 weeks. This really STINKS!! While I'm not sure being a stay at home mom is even for me, being home with both boys has been so great, and big sis has been here almost the whole time also. I will miss them all so much when I have to go back.

3. Please be in prayer for my family, my husband is still looking for a job and it is quite frustrating. We know God has a place for him and that no matter what He won't give us anything we can't handle.

4. That being said, God is teaching me a few lessons in the process. I am blessed beyond measure and it is really hard to see that until a few things are taken away. I am learning to be thankful even during these hard times.

5.  This is one of the family pictures my mother-in-law took a few weeks ago, and I just love it. It shows just how life is with a silly little boy!

Baby Banner

  by babychick~ Baby Banner came into this world on June 17 at a whopping 9 lbs. 3 oz. He is such a joy to have and we are all doing great! So I wanted to share a few pictures that his Mimi took this past weekend.

 

 

 

 
 
 
 

He did it!!!!

  by babychick~ My hubby graduated!!! I am so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. He still has a spanish class that he is fighting with right now, but I believe that he can get through it. Even though he is hating every minute of it.

 

 

the dreaded haircut

  by babychick~ We've had to give superbaby quite a few haircuts in his lifetime. Most people like the longer hair, but he doesn't have any curl to his hair so it is just stringy and looks like a mess when it is long. Well this wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that he gets fighting mad when he is held down for more than a few seconds. So scissors are out of the question, we have to buzz it with the longest guard there is. And it is still really short.

So yesterday my hubby took him to a barber in town(I didn't want to see my little man being tortured). Afterwards they came by to see me at work, and lets just say I was shocked! He is still the cutest to me though!

There is a big gap on the top of his head and if he even sees a pair of scissors he starts yelling no no!
