finally..... a name for our baby girl!

 by plannerchick ~ So after many considerations such as Quinn, Ellison, Maya, Georgia, and Kaitlyn, and some funny ones that I just am not setting myself up to be made fun of for! We have arrived at a name we both love for our little bundle.

In October (well hopefully September, lol) of this year we will welcome into the world our new little love, Miss Ryley Kaye.

There is just something about having a name for her that makes it even more special and real. I cried when my husband finally decided he loved the name as much as I did.

See, he takes time to weigh a name once it is suggested to him, which at the end of the day I appreciate. But waiting for him to make sure is pure torture. Back to why I cried... He was at work when he decided that it was for sure a yes. And he texted me,

"tell Ryley I love her"

You make think that is cheesy, but to me it was the sweetest ever!

19 weeks and counting until she will be here! Until then I will have little Miss Teddi Love and soon Mr. Banner to snuggle. Yay for tinies!

zebra hot pink diva

by socialchick~ Tiny Bliss' nursery has been done for a while now but I haven't gotten around to blogging it! So here you go. Brace yourself for the cutest and cheapest nursery you have ever seen and yes everything was made by one of us chicks. I know you are expecting Teddy bears but sorry to disappoint you. I present to you zebra hot pink diva. (I know you love the name!)

Tiny Bliss' bedding was made by none other than Bossychick! Let me just say that I have seen several beddings and I have bought 2 and this is by far the best one that I have ever owned. She did such an amazing job!

 

The curtains were a joint effort. Let me explain. By the time I got around to pinning the valences I was too big to sew them without cutting off my air-way and circulation. So after cutting and pinning them I nicely asked Bossychik with sweet eyes and pouty lips to sew them for me. Thank God she said yes. The sheers came from the Dollar General.

 

The banner was made by plannerchick and yours truly. We were so proud of how our first banner turned out. Planner did most of the work because I was too big to breath. So thanks planner, you saved me!

 
For a gift, plannerchick made the wreath to go on the hospital door, which now hangs on the nursery door, and the letters that spell out Tiny Bliss' name. I love love love how they both turned out.

 

 

So what do you think? Let me go a head and answer your question. "Will they come and do my nursery?" Yes! For a feasible price of $800! LOL! I had so much fun coming up with ideas and helping make all of the crafts that I wish I could have a little business of decorating nurseries. Way to much fun! It's kind of sad that this will be my last nursery. I said "kind of!" Not enough to make me want to have another one!

lessons learned from a squirrel

by singerchick~ Today as I was taking the kids to school and then headed to work a squirrel ran out in front of me.  He was headed straight across the road, to the other side and a most certain safety.  But, for some unknown reason, he stopped and second guessed his straight path to safety. Now I'm not gonna pretend to know the thinking process of a squirrel.  I'm gonna venture a guess and say that there isn't much of one.  However, I could see his little mind working.  He was torn.  "Do I turn back or keep going?  Turn back?  Keep going?"  He continued to look one way then the other.  He had this inner struggle, his body going back and forth several times, all in about one second and then *splat*.  He was no more.  Poor squirrel.

 

Okay I did feel bad for the squirrel for a second.  Poor thing! Then God used that poor little squirrel to speak to me simply.  What he said to my heart is to stay on the straight path that you know you need to be on.  The path that God has called you to walk.  Don't let people, circumstances or in the squirrel's case, a big gold Expedition make you second guess what you know is your path.   

What's funny is last night's message was along these lines.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding.  Your own understanding can get you run over in the end.

He did it!!!!

  by babychick~ My hubby graduated!!! I am so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. He still has a spanish class that he is fighting with right now, but I believe that he can get through it. Even though he is hating every minute of it.

the dreaded haircut

  by babychick~ We've had to give superbaby quite a few haircuts in his lifetime. Most people like the longer hair, but he doesn't have any curl to his hair so it is just stringy and looks like a mess when it is long. Well this wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that he gets fighting mad when he is held down for more than a few seconds. So scissors are out of the question, we have to buzz it with the longest guard there is. And it is still really short.

So yesterday my hubby took him to a barber in town(I didn't want to see my little man being tortured). Afterwards they came by to see me at work, and lets just say I was shocked! He is still the cutest to me though!

There is a big gap on the top of his head and if he even sees a pair of scissors he starts yelling no no!
