my baby is 4 today

by singerchick~  Okay, so at four I realize I shouldn't call him a baby but as the book goes, "As long as I'm living my baby you'll be".  He (and his brother) will always be my baby.  Today on Little Man's birthday, I took a walk down memory lane and wanted to share a few pictures I found with you. 

He's probably 4 - 6 weeks here.

Happy Birthday Little Man.  I no longer have a baby and it makes me sad but I'm excited to continue to see the little guy he is becoming.

Oh and looking back through pictures has just added to the baby fever I already had brought on my ADORABLE  new tiny niece.  I want the fever to go away... I think.

39 weeks and ready

by socialchick~ Well tomorrow is the big day! I can't believe it is here. It started out as a shock but is ending in such excitement for our new Tiny Bliss! This pregnancy has been a roller coaster full of emotions, doubts, and all other different kinds of feelings.

I will admit that when I first found out I was pregnant with Tiny Bliss I was a little depressed, but with the help of friends, family and God, I soon became excited. During church one Sunday morning we were singing Oh How He Loves Me and I began to cry. Then I received a prophecy over my baby that he/she was a gift from God and would carry an awesome and strong anointing.

So I then figured for sure this one was a boy. Much to my shock 16 weeks later I found out we were having another girl. I will also admit that I shed a few tears and then once again got really excited. Now it was time to name our new precious gift from God.

Which led to her name. Although Teddy is her dad's name it also means a gift from God. My maiden name was Lovett so we put Love with it.  Now looking back to that Sunday when God decided to speak over my little one we were singing Oh How He LOVES Me. Teddi Love means a lot to us as you can see. Not only is it a family name but I also feel it is a name straight from God for our TIny Bliss.

So now nine months later I'm getting ready to meat this new precious gift from God. Not that all children aren't gifts from God but this one was definitely a surprise. I don't know about you but sometimes surprise gifts are the best gifts ever.

So please remember to pray for me and Tiny Bliss tomorrow. I will make sure that someone posts a picture of us as soon as she gets here.

So for now I leave you with a few maternity pictures done by an awesome family at our church. This family has been so supportive of my family and they mean more to me than they know. They have grown to be my family. So thank you so much Cook family for wanting to spend your time having fun with my big, white, green vein belly. We can hardly believe it! I have to say while I wanted a daughter, I was super surprised! A baby girl, wow, I'm gonna try not to go crazy shopping! I think she is going to wrap her daddy around her finger!

actions speak louder than words

by bossychick~ recently a friend's FB status said, 'Ok, so lets stop whining and complaining and do something about it'... and it got me thinking... 

I wanted to find her and hug her and make her hold a press conference, to educate the general public on this concept. It soooooo irritates me when people have a problem, and ALL they do is complain, and usually to someone that can't fix the problem anyway... ya know like they just want to hear themselves sing, they don't really want a solution.

I am a problem solver, when something goes wrong, whether it be physical, emotional or otherwise, I go into 'what can I do different to solve this or make it better' mode. I know, I know, I cannot expect for everyone to handle everything, just like I do. But seriously, could I get a little less talk and a lot more action? ( shout out, Toby Keith)

This is my take on this subject... If you were walking and your foot landed in a bucket of dog crap, would you get the ''H" up out of it? or would you stand there and tell 85 people how bad it stinks?

I get so sick of hearing how bad the crap smells... how grody the crap is... how they don't want the crap in their life. HELLO!!! Quit stomping circles in the crap then and pick your foot up and get out of it already, GEEZ! If all you're going to do is talk about it, but never take action, then I have a one way ticket to Shutty Town, just for you.( for people who don't watch King of Queens, that means shut up!) It makes me so mad, I want to burn down Sonny's BBQ ( which is bad, because I would really like to be buried there I love it so much)

There are 2 morals of my rant ... 1- if you complain to me, you will be offered a solution, if you chose not to take the solution, fine, but don't come back to me and complain about the same old crap over and over and over, when you are doing NOTHING to change it...2- you don't really have to tell me or anybody else your problem at all, you could just get your foot out of that nasty bucket, and wash it yourself!

That being said, if you want to talk to me, about something, you are more than welcome. I will listen to anyone about anything, just don't come to me if all your doing is testing your vocal range, because I don't like your song, it stinks...like dog crap.

*Note* this is not directed at any one person, actually its directed at many, lol, thats a joke, its really not directed at any one person... but like they always say 'if the shoe fits...'

I would like to add, I know that God has the solutions to all our problems, so if you find yourself in need of an ear, maybe you should try Him, but I think He's a problem solver too, so get ready to take some action.

rockin 2's

by socialchick~ Little Sis turned 2 back in March and I wanted to share some pics of her birthday party with you. Back in January I came up with the idea of Rockin 2's because Little Sis is always dancing and singing, and she loves to play the drums. So Rockin 2's fit her so well. Thanks to Bossychick for all the help on the decorations.

i'm 25.. oops.. i mean my 25

1.  I've been wanting to do the 25 things since planner first posted hers but I wanted to include pictures which meant they had to actually come off my camera first.

2.  I, right along with the other chicks, have not blogged in forever.  Not since umm here when I blogged about our consignment sale.

3.  The sale was good.  We had more consignors, more shoppers and lots more merchandise.  Here we are first thing Saturday morning.  Don't we look super excited?

 
No?  That's because we're not.  It was too early and we're not morning people.

I have to post this picture of the toy table.  It makes me laugh...

4.  I love Spring.  I've been noticing, more than usual, all the blooms and how green and pretty everything is.  However, this year it doesn't love me.  Allergies!  Need I say more?  Still I think it's pretty.  Does that mean I'm growing up?  I hope not.

5.  I love the beach and I'm so excited about Summer time.  We've been to the beach once so far during Spring Break.  I would stay there forever if I could.

6.  I got sunburned. On my nose.  It isn't pretty.  Sometimes I get big ugly blisters on my nose from the sun.  They look just like fever blisters.  Probably are.  Not pretty.  Did I mention they are ugly?

7.  My kids crack me up and so do my nieces. 
 

8.  My Big Man loves Little Sis. They have this special thing that's really sweet.  Last night he says, "Little Sis is my best person!" 
 

9.  I'm only on #9?  I better start thinking because I can't let bossy take some of mine. 

10.  I'm going to try and not post as many pictures as I wanted to.  Just curious, do you like blogs with pictures or no?

11.  Little Man is turning 4 in a couple of weeks.  We're having his party this Saturday because Tiny Bliss is coming just four days before his birthday. 

12.  The theme is Aquaman.  You may remember me posting last Summer about his thing with goggles and the fact that he loves the water.  So I created a Superhero, or so I thought.  Turns out there's a Aquaman comic book that's written.  I googled it.  I shouldn't have because I thought I was being original.  

13.  Because I "created" this superhero and all, I'm having trouble with the cake.  I'll probably just end up going with the color theme and add some waves and bubbles.  Any ideas?

14.  My little Love Bug, Tiny Bliss, will be here soon.  I'm very excited to meet her.  I'm very excited to snuggle her and see those tiny baby stretches we all love.  I'm also very excited that when she needs to eat or be changed at 2 a.m., I will be fast asleep in my bed.  Just kidding social.  You know I would come running at any time, day or night, to help you.  You know it's true.  I have skills with a breast pump.  :-)

15.  Big Man is playing tball.  This is his first year. After the game, all I could think about was the fact that we have 15 more games and possibly 10ish more years of this.  I immediately face-booked (is that a word?) sassy and told her she deserved an award for the games she's already attended and the many she has left to go.  Don't get my wrong, it's cute and all.  It's just not real exciting.  At least it's not golf although that's probably coming one day if Mr. Singer has anything to do with it.  This is him celebrating before his foot even touched home plate.

16.  I did realize that I need a different camera lense if I'm going to actually be able to tell which one is my kid when I get home and look at the pictures.  Oh well, the budget is not looking so good for that right now.

17.  I love my camera if I could only figure out how to use its many features.

18.  I've realized I'm not witty or funny.  Really I knew this a long time ago.  But what I am is the person who laughs at the funny and witty people.  I laugh really hard at them!  I can do that well!

19.  The other day I decided to stop worrying so much about all the details and decisions that come with being a parent.  My prayer is this:  that both of my sons will know the Lord Jesus Christ personally, be able to have a true loving relationship with him and others and be so grounded and rooted in truth that nothing or no one can shake them.  The rest will come in God's timing.

20.  That was a little serious and random.

21.  It's taking me forever to write this blog. 

22.  School will end in about five weeks.

23.  I got my hair done today.  It was TIME!  I saw Photo on Sunday after not seeing her for a while.  I bet she thought I was trying out the all natural thing.  Seriously.  I have a lot of grey!   

24.  It's a mystery as to how I have so much grey in my hair since I'm only 25. 

25.  Mr. Singer has lost weight and he keeps losing weight.  Is it bad that I'm jealous?

by sassychick ~ I secretly love these.  Because I love lists.  And I get it’s not a secret.

1.  “Up in the Gym, workin on my FITNESS” is the worst lyric I’ve ever heard.  And that TOTALLY trumps the bedrock lyric, which I LIKE.  Probably because I picture the Flintstone family rollin over in their animated grave when they used their beloved character in a song such as that.
2. I hate doing homework with my children and I’m not even sure hate is a strong enough word for it.  I think people assume you got some sort of automatic mom gene that like makes you love your kid not matter what, makes you throw yourself in front of a bus to protect them and that same gene makes you want to patiently work on homework with them.  I got everything but the HOMEWORK part.  
3. I dislike baseball until it become competitive.  I hate that I have to fain excitement in Lane’s game.  I’m only excited when he hits.  The rest is torture. 
4. Right now my house is clean.  It’s clean because I’ve had two parties this past weekend and another scheduled Saturday.  I often schedule parties as an excuse to clean the house.  Then I kill myself all week and act like it only took me a few minutes to straighten up.
5. I recently lied to a Vietnamese woman who was doing my nails.  After a crazy redneck woman came in the store and the nail lady started to say something to me and stopped long enough to say, “Are you from here?”  I said no.  She said, “These people are insane around here.”  I smiled empathetically and responded.  “Girl, don’t I know.”
6. I also confirmed a long held belief about the Vietnamese people who do my nails.  They do talk about you routinely in Vietnamese when you’re getting your nails done.  And it’s often about how much money they think you have.
7. They also tell you in will only be 15 minutes until they start on your nails.  Whether it will be 15 minutes or 2 hours. 
8. I recently learned a dolphin is just a gay shark. (hate mail to [email protected])
9. As a follow up to #8, Glee is my new favorite show.
10. I have recently learned that people constantly criticize those around them are generally taking the feelings they have for themselves and projecting them on others.  And you can’t fix people.  They can only fix themselves.  Took me 30ISH years to learn that.
11. I just sent a flower delivery lady away because I didn’t know we had a new employee by the name she gave me.  And it was a dozen roses.  For that employee’s birthday.
12. Someone recently asked me if they could bring a drink in my car.  I doubled over laughing and said, “Listen, we eat more meals in this car than we do at home.”
13. I want to win the lottery without having to purchase tickets.  I’m cheap.
14. I was secretly excited when it was crap weather for spring breakers.  If I don’t get one, no one should.
15. My SECOND reaction (after elation) upon learning my best friends are pregnant is HECK YEAH; I’ll be skinnier than her in 9 months.
16. There’s a weird phenomenon at the beach.  If you are in the water people can hear you talking about them when they are WAY up on the beach laying out.  It’s insane.  I have witnesses.
17. I also cannot get enough of Biggest Loser only because I like to know there are people WAY fatter than me. 
18. I do not like Victoria Secret commercials because it reminds my husband that there are people WAY hotter than me.
19. I was recently at a baseball game and a car full of teens were listening to loud rap music.  There was some cussing in the music and I was walking with Lane.  As I turned to reprimand them one yelled, “Hey number 22!  (I had my SONS number on my shirt)  Sure do wish you weren’t married.”  To which I respond, “Sure wish I wasn’t old enough to be your mom, turn the music down.” 
20. I need to exercise.  I have no plans of starting.
21. I’m no longer celebrating birthday “numbers”.  Only birthDAYS.   And mine is June 2nd and I’m still SUPER young.
22. I am currently juggling 4 baseball games a week and baseball tournaments on Saturdays and I’m still not sure if you call the guys in blue umpires or referees, but I never get tired of seeing the boys in their uniforms.
23. Hey Bossy, if you didn't like the bedrock line, you should hear eenie meenie, miney mo lover song featuring the mature Justin Beiber.  Its fanFREAKINtastic. (as sang by the ten year old who apparently has a "lover" and is in the "club"...shout out social.)
24. Speaking of social, still crossing my fingers that she might give in and give me Tiny Bliss.  Then my family will be complete.
