art?

by photochick~ I realize that I am not the most cultured person in the whole world. I mean, seriously, art is hard to come by where I live. Or where any of us chicks live for that matter. It's just not a metropolis.

That's not to say that I don't make an effort any time I can. On our spring trip to see Wicked in Birmingham we made a stop by the Birmingham Museum of Art where we had lunch at their cute cafe and saw some lovely pieces of art from all over the world.

This, however, was not one of those lovely pieces. In my uneducated opinion, how in the world is it art? It was basically a blank bulletin board with a border. Seriously?

 

I was MUCH more impressed by the beauty of these flowers at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

 

 

 

Both places were worth checking out if you're ever in town with a few hours to spare. Surprisingly, both are free of charge as well. A very welcome surprise!

I, too, love the Botanical Gardens and the Birmingham Museum of Art. (I go to the Gardens a lot more than the Museum.)

However, I just wanted to say Congratulations on your new little guy. He's beautiful, and the pictures you made a few days ago are amazing. (I like his name, too.)
