by singerchick~This is a happy post after the previous tear inducing ones. The only thing is I'm a little sad because my BigMan is now FIVE years old. I can't believe I have a five year old! I just brought him home from the hospital. Just yesterday I was snuggling him, struggling to nurse him and trying to figure out what I was going to do with the tiny, squirmy human who I loved more than life itself.
It has been an adventure learning how to parent the past five years and I'm very proud of my big boy and the person he is and the person he is becoming. I can't wait to see what the next five years will bring.
We had a Superhero birthday party. Gone are the days that mama gets to choose the theme so I went with it. My goal with the invitation was for it to have a comic book look. This is what I came up with.
Here's the birthday boy with his Superhero cake.
His one request was a pinata so we obliged and the kids enjoyed it right up until the part where Spiderman was decapitated.
More partying.
Bigman has a thing for guns, guns of all shapes and sizes and he was very excited to get several guns for his birthday.
Notice the policeman attire. It was a superhero party and he decided to wear his policeman dress up outfit almost the entire party.
Here's babychick with supertiny. You can't see it but he had his "super baby" shirt on. So cute!
And here's planner's tiny.
I love the cake of course. But my favorite photo is the last gun shot. That face is priceless!

I love the birthday cake. All little boys need a super hero party, and it looks like your little guy had a great one.
Congratulations! Five year-olds are fantastic!
