by sassychick ~ We recently went to a jammin TobyMac concert with the boys, their first to be exact. One of the opening acts was a young lady named Francesca Battistelli. While Toby was still the highlight of the show, this girl was amazing. More than her just her ability, was a song named Beautiful, Beautiful that stayed with me, even now, weeks later.
Don’t know how it is You looked at me
And saw the person that I could be
Awakening my heart
Breaking through the dark
Suddenly Your grace
Like sunlight burning at midnight
Making my life something so
Beautiful, beautiful
Mercy reaching to save me
All that I need
You are so
Beautiful, beautiful
Now there’s a joy inside I can’t contain
But even perfect days can end in rain
And though it’s pouring down
I see You through the clouds
Shining on my face
I have come undone
But I have just begun
Changing by Your grace
This resignated with me on so many levels. How many of us have had nothing but something less than desirable to offer. Disappointment, regret, dreams unaccomplished, incorrectly placed ambition, feelings of hopelessness that Jesus looked past lovingly and by seeing the beautiful in me, made my reality beautiful.
I'm not always going to feel it. Not always going to be able to see it clearly, but my life is beautiful because the lover of my soul is beautiful.
Enjoy.
Thanks for sharing. I love that last sentence. "my life is beautiful because the lover of my soul is beautiful." That's awesome!!

what a great song and a wonderful reminder of all that God has already done for us and to keep looking to what he is still doing. Thanks for sharing

I too fell in ove with her at the concert. What a voice! Rarely is their an artist that I like all of their songs, but I love all of hers! Beautiful song and great message!
