by singerchick~ I guess this is a "kids say the funniest things" week for me, but I have to share. Little Man has been cracking me up lately. Last night we were getting ready for bed and he was following me around whining about something. Well, to be honest, I was ignoring him. Gasp! I know horrible mother, but let me explain. He had been whining all evening and I was about done with it. I thought it was the same things he had been whining about.
"I want to sit by you when we pray." or "My boo boo hurts. I need a band-aid." This boo boo was an aunt bite that was barely visible, mind you.
And really. Come on. Be honest. You do it too. Don't you? I know you do.
So anyway the whining was turning into crying so I stopped what I was doing and asked him what was wrong. He said what I thought was, "My beard hurts." I thought that can't be what he's saying so I asked him to repeat. He said it again with tears and this time pointed to his chin. So now I get it. His face hurt because it is so chapped from the cold weather and he was pointing to his chin and telling me his beard hurt. I was cracking up! I couldn't stop laughing long enough to get him to repeat it to Mr. Singer. Poor guy. He thinks his chin is his beard.
Little, what hurts?
My beard.
Then as I was putting him into his bed and cuddling him he says. "I want to make it feel better. Let's say in Jesus name." That was his way of asking me to pray for it. So sweet. And cute. And funny!
I love him!
Then this morning he points to the Quaker guy on his breakfast bar and says, "Like a moose. I see his eyes." This is all I can figure....
