by babychick~ This recipe was always one of my favorite sweets that my Grandmother made every year. I tried to make them last year when some of us chicks got together but they turned out to be bricks. The secret is to not put them in the refrigerator.
What you'll need:
1 cup sugar, 1 cup karo syrup, 1 cup peanut butter, 6 cups rice krispies cereal, 6 oz bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips, and 6 oz bag of butterscotch chips.
Cook sugar and karo syrup on medium heat until it starts to bubble. Take from heat and add peanut butter, mix well. Add rice krispies and mix well. Spread into buttered 9x13 pan. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips in a double boiler over hot water. Spread over rice krispies mixture and let cool.
yumm... These sound great. I'm going to have to try them. After Christmas I'm going to have to go on a diet.

When I read "scotch" I was thinking of scotch whiskey instead of butterscotch. LOL
