by photochick~ I've always found that people have strong feelings about shopping the Friday after Thanksgiving. Either you love it or hate it. I fall somewhere in the middle. I'm not crazy about the huge crowds, and am not one to get out at 5 a.m., but I do love to leisurely shop for some deals after, let's say, 9 a.m.
Last year I worked the day after Thanksgiving doing photo shoots, but was very fortunate to have some great friends that picked up some great deals on my behalf. $30 worth of dvd's that have lasted me an entire year (and you have no idea how many dvd's I use), new printer, etc. Not really presents, but some great buys on things I needed to buy anyway.
On to the fun . . . so this year I AM NOT WORKING! It's really less about the shopping and more about the tradition. A tradition that kicks off the holiday season complete with Christmas music in the car and lunch out with my co-shoppers, which is usually the women in my family.
So, to get ready I've been checking out the Black Friday ads online. I think plannerchick was the one who turned me on to a website a few years ago that lists all black friday ads in one place. You can even register and click on an item to add it to your virtual shopping list. Pretty cool and so handy. With the purse strings a little tight this year after the move, the deals are really welcome so I can really use that list!
There's lots of sites out there, but I use www.blackfriday.info.
Happy Shopping!
Some of the chicks were asking for photos of Ava, so I sent the link to Social & Singer. There are some posted on the Bugle as well.
Thanks for the Black Friday ads...I have been waiting for them to be posted!!!

We have a tradition also. I LOVE IT!!! My Sisters and BFF are spending the night with my sis this year, so we don't have to get up so early. We are the crazy early risers and sometimes never go to bed. We are at the first store at 4am. We do alot of tag teamning, so we can get everything on our list. We had huge success last year, so we will be shopping in Dothan again. A lil tip... ToysRus will match other prices, so cut those ads out tape them to the item while you wait in line to pay and get all your toys there! Happy shopping!!

Black Friday shopping definitely gets me in the shopping spirit although this year is a little different. Nevertheless the site that I have found to be helpful (that started e-mailing me this week mind you) is: http://bfads.net I look here for in store and online deals. The past couple of years, I have played Santa to myself and just had things delivered to my home. Hope this is another site readers can add to the list!

Shhhhh- don't tell but I have figured something out. Most of the sales that are available on Black Friday are still on for Sat. We go early Sat. All the Friday shoppers are still exhausted and don't show up until about 1 - at which time I am finished. It works and is really fun.
