by babychick~ I know I've been absent lately and I'm sorry for that. But to tell you the truth I've been savoring every minute I can with my tiny before I have to go back to work. This is my last week off and all day today I've been debating whether or not to put him down for a nap and get things done or just hold him all day. I'm doing a little of both.
I don't mind working, I never have. Most days I actually like to get up and go to work, when things are going smoothly. I have a really good job and it is not stressful at all, but today I'm dreading going back. I just don't want to leave my baby boy for 9 hours a day, especially when I was just getting used to this mommy thing. I am so thankful to Socialchick, because she will be keeping him during the day. And my husband is now a full time college student and has 2 days off a week so he will be able to be with him more. I couldn't ask for a better situation.
Other than leaving my baby behind the only thing that makes me not want to go back is the fact that Plannerchick is leaving me. See we have worked at the same office for a little over two years now. I know that she is going home to be with her tiny and I am happy for her. But I'm a little selfish and sad for myself. Work won't be the same without her, I won't have anyone to sit and talk to for hours on the slow days. I'll miss you Plannerchick(not like we aren't sister-in-laws or anything)
So to all you working mothers, what are some things that helped you make the transition back to work easier?
Here I am savoring all the snuggle time I can:
Prayer, lots of prayer. And having someone you trust keeping little guy helps A LOT! Sassy kept my oldest and then social kept little man until he was about 18 months. That's a super cute picture!

Take lots of photos with you and don't let anyone make you feel bad about going back to work. I stayed home with Laney, but was unable to do so with Tyler and had to go back to work when he was 6 months old. There are still people who make comments about me working rather than staying home with my kids, but some people just can't afford that luxury. When people get on you for working, just remind them that you are working so your baby boy will have a roof over his head and clothes on his back. Then ask them if they want to pay your mortgage for you while you stay home :-) that usually shuts them up. Good luck and remember that your little man loves you just as much when you are at work as he does when you are home with him!
