Instead of a bag boy who LOADS your groceries, how about a service that follows you home and UNLOADS your groceries and put them away. 

A machine that you can insert toys with dead batteries into (see photochicks blog) and it would unscrew the back, replace the batteries, put toy back together and hand it back to you.  When it was done it would scan the room for other toys in need of repair.

A toy manufacturer that made a toy with NO TWISTY TIES to untie when removing toy from packaging.  It should not take longer to unpack the toy than it does to drive to store, find toy, purchase toy, drive home, and get kids in house.

A tiny little paddle that walks behind your children and gives them a gently nudge on the bottom when they leave their trash in the middle of the floor, RIGHT AFTER YOU SPENT THE ENTIRE DAY CLEANING THE HOUSE.  Not that I'm bitter.

A computer chip to place in husband's head that will tell them, don't kick trash in floor to the side, bend down, pick up, insert in trash can.  Still, not that bitter.

A fingernail protector that will keep your children's hands from looking like they have been working on a '64 mustang all morning.

A shampoo bottle that doesn't tempt my children to pick it up and dump it's contents into THEIR bath.

Bed sheets that change themselves weekly, instead of the ones I have, that I have to change LESS often.

A bigger paddle that walks behind your children and gives them a less gently nudge on the bottom when they forget to flush the toilet.  So you don't find it.  Upstairs.  A week later.

A job that pays you an insanely large paycheck to stay at home and play with your kids all day.

I mean, if we're dreamin.....

SURPRISE, Ariz. —  The Surprise Police Department reported that a previously missing 20-month-old and the baby sitter believed to have taken him were both found safe after an Amber Alert had been issued, reports FOX News.

Police say Michael Wolfe was last seen Wednesday afternoon in the care of the baby sitter, 15-year-old Amanda Nicole Rainey.

Rainey was hired by the boy's father, who found her on Craigslist, MyFOXPhoenix reported. She is believed to be a meth user.

Now.  Let's discuss.  Like, I don't know.  NOT finding your child a babysitter on CRAIGLIST for one.  For two, maybe picking one that WASN'T A METH USER.  For three, once the meth user got there to babysit your child, think about, maybe, asking her to LEAVE, without your child.

All very disturbing to me.  These people are still allowed to keep said child.

On another note.  Did you notice the police department's name is Surprise?  That would not make me feel more secure.  "Hello, this is a Surprise to us!" 

This reminds me of that show when we were young, Rescue 911, you can still find episodes on Youtube.  While some of the accidents were unavoidable, for the most part, they went something like this:

Man, who's car is parked on steep incline, decides to change his oil.  Man jacks car up with plywood and a brick.  JUST THEN, car falls on man.  As he mumbles, "Someone help me.." a neighbor hears and calls 911!

Do do do do (theme music) As the ambulance arrives, the paramedics immediately jump into action.  Man is pulled from under car and rushed to hospital.  Flash forward to man being interviewed from hospital. 

"I'm just so shocked.  How could a car, on a steep incline, jacked up with a homemade rigging system, completely fall apart and trap me?  Thanks paramedics - You saved my life"

People.  Our taxes, our good, hard earned money pay to fix these people when they do THIS KIND OF STUFF.

conversations at home

by plannerchick ~ Have you ever noticed the random conversations that you tend to have with those you love, and how they tend to make no sense what-so-ever. We had one last night, and thinking back on it made me laugh, so I thought I'd share.

Me: "I really like these new paper towels I bought, they are much more sturdy than the others"

Husband: "How much did they cost"

Me: "Well, they were like $2.00 a roll, and the others were 3 for $1.50, I just bought them for a project we were doing, because they seemed like they would hold up better"

Husband: "Well, we waste paper towels anyway, I would just keep buying the others. All we do is use them once to dry our hands, then we throw them out."

Me: "Ummmmm, isn't that the purpose of paper towels"

I'm just sayin...........

i still believe

by singerchick~ If you're a christian, or a human being for that matter, you will have ups and downs.  There will be good times and bad times throughout this walk of life.  There are times when your feeling up and times when your feeling down and then there are times when you're just not "feeling it" at all.

When we accept Christ into our lives, we don't automatically get a "get out of life free card".  We will walk through struggles.  There are things that don't go the way we think they should and are completely beyond our ability to understand.

Although as christians we don't have the promise of a rosy peaches-n-cream life, we do have the promise of eternal life. (John 3:16)  We are promised a future full of hope and prosperity.  (Jeremiah 29:11)  We are promised a constant companion who will never leave us.  (Deuteronomy 31:6) We are promised comfort. (Isaiah 61:2)  These are just a few of the many promises found in the word of God, but the greatest to me is His unfailing love for us. (Psalm 36:7)  This love is freely given!

God's promises are what matters.  The way we feel and how our flesh is responding does not matter, but what matters is truth.  Simple truth! That's why it's important that we live our lives in truth.  We worship in truth and we rise up each day and confess what's true even if we don't see it or feel it.

I was listening to the radio this morning and Seventh Day Slumber's Joseph Rojas was talking about their song, Every Saturday.  The song was inspired by a lady who's son killed himself on a Saturday.  Rojas described how she was feeling angry and completely not understanding why this had happened.  In the midst of the pain and the not understanding she said, "I still believe you're God."  This is living in truth!

Be encouraged today!  Stand on the truth of God's word!

helper or help

by socialchick~  Miss Pris has been learning how to do so many things for herself. She knows how to put her toys away and how to throw away her own trash. She has also began getting me a diaper and wipes and carrying her stool around when she needs to get up on the couch or get something off the counter.

Well last week I took out all of the bottles to get ready for the baby and she saw where I put them so every once in a while she will sneak into the baby's room and try to get one and suck on it. I tell her no and that she needs to put it back.  I tried to teach her that it was for the baby. I went and got one of her baby dolls and showed her how to feed it but didn't think that she understood what I was saying. So today while I was putting up clothes she snuck into the baby's room and got a bottle but this time she also got one of her baby dolls and this is what I caught with my camera!

 

So now I wondering if I should be praying for God to help me or is she going to be a big Helper. Will she understand that she can't feed the baby? Who knows but I guess we will find out soon enough.

P.S. don't judge the hair or the clothes, we are staying at home all day! lol!

our new addition

by sassychick ~ We have a new addition to the family.  And NO it's not a baby.  Take a look at my new pretty. 

I wish you could see how WONDERFUL and STRAIGHT my hair looks.  There is something about the bond between a woman and her straightner. I'm naming her Chichilla.  And she will be invited to participate in ALL family portraits. 

Nothing

By Babychick~ I have absolutly nothing interesting to say. So I thought I would throw in some randoms. The reason I have nothing to say is mostly because my life has slowed down quite a bit, which I am not complaining about.

I have been trying not to take a nap everyday when I get home from work so I can actually get some things done around the house. I think that I should probably go back to taking naps because last night I fell asleep at 7:00. Hubby had some homework to do so it didn't bother him, and I just slept right there on the couch next to him. I have always gone to bed early, I need those 8 hours of sleep, but since being pregnant I feel like I might need 12.

Chicklet was playing basketball with the YMCA, on the same team as Sassy's chicklet. The season ended last week, this mr. babychick was thrilled about. You see part of his old job was to help supervise all of the sports the city had going for the kids. Basketball was one of them, and well lets just say that this year there was no order to the game and most of the time it felt like we were watching a soccer game. Chicklet seemed to have a good time but I don't think she really enjoyed basketball too much. On to the next sport, softball.

Who knew that having your teeth cleaned while still in the first trimester was a big no-no? Not me, I went last week to have my teeth cleaned, waited 45 minutes in the waiting room only to find out my teeth couldn't be cleaned. I was actually looking forward to having my teeth cleaned, you know that fresh feeling you have after a cleaning. Well I won't be feeling that for another 3 weeks.

I know that this is not new news, but did everyone see that Jamie Lynn Spears, younger sister of Britney Spears, is pregnant?? She is only 16, and the star of a show that my 9 year old step-daughter liked to watch. I would actually watch this show with her and saw nothing wrong with it, I also watch Hannah Montana with her, which is a very good show and has done nothing wrong so far. This girl seems to have a great head on her shoulders, but I can't help to think that it is only a matter of time. This is very sad and it makes me want to leave the t.v. on cartoons like bugs bunny for the rest of her life. I know that isn't possible but these kids have to realize that they are starring in shows that young, very young, children watch. And that these children adore, and respect them.

I would also like to tell you that on Old Navy's website there is a $1,000 Shopping Extravaganza Sweepstakes. I never win things like this but I thought that it might be worth it to enter, seeing that I'm going to need some new clothes in the near future. I thought about keeping this to myself but that seemed kind of greedy. So go enter, and you can enter in every single day until the end.

I won't bore you with anymore randoms today, I'm off to see how I can make my day more interesting.

That's it chicks. The motherload of all things cute and useful. What else can you ask for in life? I mean, if you have to go to all the trouble to file something, I mean, that's no fun, shouldn't it at least give your eye balls a little crack for the day when you look at these {rediculously} cute folders? And then to find out they come in this {rediculously} cute box. It's like Tiffany's for paper goods. And what girl doesn't love some Tiffany's.

a lil' man request

by sassychick ~ Someone should come to my house today and film a commercial for Tamiflu.  Lil’ man is jumping and kung fu-ing and occasionally singing (yes, singing).  He is in the most loving, joking, WONDERFUL mood EVER.  I’m thinking about not returning to work.

There is nothing that compares to a great day with your kid.  We just sat in front on the pantry while he inny minny miney moe’d until he “landed” on the snack he actually wanted.  I mean how awesome is that?

This morning while taking his “orange juice” which is code for medicine mixed in juice and he gave me a remix of Cha Cha Cha in the middle of the kitchen.  I could kiss Mr. Tamiflu square on the mouth.

While sitting in the doctor’s office my lil’ man looked at me and said, “Mom I want a baby and make sure you tell God to make it a girl.”

Alrighty then.  What prompted this?

 
All I could think was, son get to prayin.  Obviously when I say girl, God hears boy.  Not that I’m complaining ‘cause I wouldn’t trade either one of ya.

“Well, if you want a baby, tell God “ I answered in my best parental voice of reason.

Be careful what you say to a five year old.  He generally listens and acts IMMEDIATELY.

 
So in the middle of the doctor’s office, he proceeds to fold his hands, bow his head and not quietly say, “God, pleassssssssssssssssssssssssssssseeeee give us a baby and pleassssssssssssssssssssssssseeeee make it a girl.  Thank you God.  Amen.”

Immediate thought.  Oh wait, wait, wait!!!  I know God really listens to the purity of a child and he actually might ACT of this.  Am I ready? Wait, take it back, I don’t want to gain 87 lbs again.

 
Maybe I could exercise this time and actually EAT the broccoli.  I am getting a little older.  Not that I'd admit that, because I'm not HAIR CUTTING AGE yet.  But none the less, I ain't 20.
