by socialchick~ Little Pris is beginning to say so many things. There was a time, not so many weeks ago, that I was worried that she wasn't going to talk. Well she is beginning to come out of her shell. (mom and dad said that I didn't talk until I was 2 but when I started I never shut up). So yesterday morning we had a 20 month old conversation and this is how it went.
Pris: MOMMA!!!
me: What?
Pris: I'd know (translation I don't know)
Pris: MOMMA!!!
me: What?
Pris: I'd know
Pris: MOMMA!!!
me: What?
Pris: I'd know
me: if you call MOMMA one more time I'm going to pop your hand. (not really because it was so cute and I was trying not to laugh)
Pris: Um PEEEEES (translation please)
So who knows what was going on in her little mind. I'm sure she wanted something but didn't know what it was.
learning to talk has got to be the funniest thing on earth! she's such a cutie.

Isn't it nice....the day they learn "MAMMA" is the beginning of every sentence in which they need something...oh to be daddy...

It's even more funny in real life because she YELLS the mama and says everything else very softly and sweetly. Oh the joys of trying to figure out what are kids are saying at times. It's very frustrating for them and us.

Actually, I have a daddy's boy on my hands, so he LITERALLY cries anytime I do anything for him instead of his daddy.
With total righteous indignation, "Noooooooooo, it's DADDY's turn!!!!!" And then proceeds to cry until his daddy picks up the rock, or brings him his cup. Or reaches to the back seat while driving and takes his cup.
I swear if he says that one more time.

Oh do I remember those days. "Caroline, please just ask your daddy for something." First time she did I was "What are you doing? Your mama can do that!"
