by social chick~ oh, the day that i had! it started at 6:30 a.m. and is finally coming to an end at 8:43. thank God it is over.
my little princess started coughing Thursday night. a cough not a big deal. by Saturday she started with the runny nose and the fussing. still not bad. she hasn't had a fever so we are still safe, right. wrong, it wasn't getting better so i decided to call and get her an appointment for today. i had to go for and ob appointment so why not kill two birds with one stone. something kept telling me to take her to the Dr. i guess it was my motherly instincts. we get to the Dr. and he tells us that she has bronchitis. thank God i listened to my instincts before Thanksgiving got here and the office was closed. so know i feel like a bad mom for waiting so long. anyways you live and you learn.
next appointment is mine. bad news right away. i gained 8 lb. in one month. the Dr so graciously offered me a 2000 calorie diet. holding back the tears i took it and thought to myself "the only calories i'm watching are the one's going down my mouth. especially during the holidays". oh well, i'm sure sassy chick is glad to see that i have gained more than 5 lb. lol!
next problem, get to the pharmacy to get chicklets medicine filled and i have to sit and wait for 30 minutes because the doctor put the wrong dosage on the prescription slip. he wrote that she should take it 3 to 4 times a day and actually she needs to take it once every 12 hours. so i don't know what happen and i don't know who's fault it was, i'm just glad that it was caught. so now it is 3:30 and we are finally headed home with one sick and sleepy child, one mad, tired, rebellious (can't believe he told me to watch what i eat) mom and one ill dad. thank God mr. social chick went with me.
a good note, we did hear from my dad last night and everything is going good. he was horse and said that he had a cold. he has been preaching 5 times a day and the services have been great. he said that the people have made him feel at home and that his heart are for these people. my comment was i'm glad you have a heart for them, they don't have your grandkids and your kids. lol! just playing! i'm glad that he is having a great time and enjoying God's calling.
so to all of you out there, i hope you have had a better day than me. i also hope that all of you have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving!
so sorry for the bad day. i've been right there with you lately and it STINKS!!!
enjoy much sleep during the holidays with the hubby at home!
oh, and you're making me think i, and maybe the chicklet again, should go back to the doctor. i keep saying i feel like i have bronchitis, but i don't have a fever so i thought maybe not. fun, fun.

This is me not being the supportive, optimistic friend, but rather exactly what I am thinking - Keepin' it real...lol
Praise God you gained more than 5lbs. You get to officially report it. Now, try to catch up. You only have a 100 more to get to where I was. No need to panic.
Number two: What the crap. How do kids go from fine to BRONCHITIS in two seconds. Is there not an easy button somewhere or an alarm that will automatically sound when something monumental has shifted.
Thirdly, who's the idiot that put the wrong dose that could have totally hurt tiny? My guess is you didn't get the medicine filled at Crapmart because I klow for a fact they wouldn't catch a mistake, they're in the business of stealing our souls.
I'd like to end this on a good note. Go Pastor, git 'r done! Get to preaching, I get to eat tomorrow!
