sevenchicks: niece/nephew?

by cubanchick~ my sister who has three boys went yesterday to find out the sex of the baby. this is how my morning went: wake up right at 9:30 and suddenly realize that her appointment was at 9:30. my next reaction was to begin praying as i did the night before. i prayed that we above all, we are thankful for anything. it is a blessing regardless of sex. then i prayed to God, saying that even though it was already formed, that a boy would be just as fine and almost funny at this point (that would be seven nephews). i also asked that if there was any way that it could be a girl, b/c my sis so desperately wants a girl...hello, she's got three boys and still going!!!!! crazy i know!! so i get up, get dressed, and head to scott's house. shortly after arriving, my phone rings. it's her. i answer and i think there's a spark in her voice. she asks me what i am doing. and i respond with, "waiting on your call". she asks me what i think it is and i tell her that i am caught. i want to think that surely it is a girl this time, but then again what if her hubby only gives her boys. she asks me again and i insist that i am not sure. she's now got me all confused.. she tells me it's a boy. my response: "that is so funny..another boy!!" in the midst of my trying to sound just as happy..i hear the word, girl. i stop and ask, "did you say girl?" she gets really loud and says it's a girl.. my response: "AAAHHHHHHHH" i scream so loud, i scared scott who was in the other room. she had to go back today for another ultrasound to check something else out, but it is definitely a girl and i could not be happier for her. after all the boys we finally have a girl. i am really happy for her. that also leaves me now with a feeling of how much i love all the boys too. i am so lucky to be an aunt..it is a privilege that i am thankful for.. one day i know that i will cherish motherhood all the more, but for today... i'm aunt dami!
