by bossychick~I know, its 'fuzzy wuzzy was a bear' but I got it from a show I like and I think it sounds cute... moving on...
I recently saw this saying, 'remember this: when you think you know... you don't... you've only assumed, under false pretenses'
I think I would re-word it to say '... you don't... you've only formed an opinion from your perception', either way it goes right along with what God has been showing me lately.... things are not always ( and by not always I mean never) how I perceive them to be, and I should stop forming opinions and judgments of people based on my perception.
I have never considered myself a judgmental person, but after really trying to apply 'judge not, lest ye be judged in the same manner' in my life, I realize that without meaning to, I have been.
It is so easy for us to form a quick opinion of why WE think somebody said or did something, or what WE think a person should do... when what we should really be doing, if we are being what God has called us to be to one another, is lifting that person up in prayer and asking God to give them His wisdom in dealing with their situation....
What we should NOT be doing is running our mouths wide open to other people, because... news flash, all that does is alter their perception of that person, and usually not in a good way. The word says 'do to other's what you would have them do to you'. I don't want people saying negative things about me, so I'm not going to say negative things about others.
If you can't answer yes to these questions, when you are getting ready to tell another person something, about somebody else, then, again... news flash, DON'T SAY WHAT YOU WERE GOING TO SAY..... #1 Would I say this if the person were standing right here? #2 Is this uplifting to the person I'm talking about? #3 Would I want this said about me?
If you can't answer no to these questions, then... news flash, DON'T SAY WHAT YOU WERE GOING TO SAY... # 1 Have I formed an opinion based on my perception of this situation? # 2 Am I sowing 'discord among the brethren'? # 3 Has this person annoyed me because they have struck a nerve in me? ( translation: its really my problem, not theirs, I'm just being too stupid to look at myself and be honest right now, so I'm going to trash this person, to somebody else, so I can further fuel my denial)
So back to basics, the definition of perceive: To become aware of directly through any of the senses, especially sight or hearing.
Last time I checked the only 'being' that could see all, hear all, and knows all is God, ( minus the fact that OUR senses fail us all the time) so really He's the ONLY one who knows why anybody does, or says anything. So here is something for you to wrap your mind around or ask yourself or whatever... Am I like God, that I can say I know why somebody else does, or says anything? Well, news flash (this is 4th one btw) my answer was NO! and not NO! but HECK NO!
I mean really think about it. Do you think you REALLY know others from the amount of time( sometimes 1 day or one meal) that you are with them? Can you really say that you do, or is it only your perception of them? When other people annoy you, do you talk about them (perceiving them as annoying) or do you try to look past the behavior to the root of why they are acting that way, and then lift them up in prayer? ...
Unless you're God, don't be so sure that what you think is the gospel's truth.

by bossychick~ yes, hotter than a 2 dollar pistol, is what we want our bodies to be...
that's why we're all out walking, turns out that's also how HOT the sun is today.
The 3 of us, Me, Social, and Baby... and wait for it...
SEVEN kids......
Miss Priss, Lil Sis, and Tiny Bliss, in a double stroller and a front carrier... Super Baby and Baby Banner, in a double stroller.. and Baby Girl and Baby Boy (Planner chicklet, I looked back on past blogs for a definite nickname and there are about 20, lol, so I went with Baby Boy), in a double stroller...
Did I mention it was HOT, Miss Priss kept saying, "Mama, I don't like to be hot', Baby Girl kept crying for her 'Rella book ( she is currently in love with the movie Cinderella). Super Baby hung out of the side of his seat a few times, the rest were pretty quiet, I think its because they'd had heat strokes, but we made it 4 laps, which was our goal.
I think 4 laps is 2 miles but I would venture to say that pushing a double stroller, makes it the equivalent of an Iron Man Triathlon!
So if you saw a herd of strollers today, yes it was us, and if you see us on another day, please give us a few seconds to get out of the way before you try to swerve around us into oncoming traffic and create a gridlock!
Baby and I should have turned our strollers sideways so you could get the full effect...

by bossychick~ but I will make it only 10 random things instead of the usual 25...
1- I never get tired of hearing Planner's chicklet say 'eessth', which is his version of yes, its the cutest thing I think I've ever heard, followed closely by Singer's Little Man's 'yeth'... I could literally eat both of their faces.
2- I am probably going back to work in August and am nervous/ excited/ trying to mentally prepare myself.
3- I can't wait to see what Planner's new chicklet will look like, in my head she will look just like her older brother, but a girl version, but now I think she might look like her Mimi, since Social's last chicklet didn't looklike I imagined her, and now Baby's chicklet doesn't look like I imagined him, so now I'm confused and wondering why God didn't consult me before molding these babies, they turned out beautiful but I had some beautiful imagination babies, too ( if you are gasping because you think I shouldn't suggest that God ask me anything... then stop, its just a joke)
4- I just read on FB that my friend A B, might be cutting her hair, I said ' don't do it' partly because her hair is soooo pretty its crazy... and partly because Mr. Sassy will stare her down with " I can't believe you cut off your hair, and now I'm going to stone you on the courthouse steps" in his eyes, like he did me when I saw him in church after I cut my hair... it was traumatic...
5- speaking of hair, I really wish I had the guts to dye mine the color of a certain red head at church, I love her hair so much, but I'm scared to take the plunge. ( she's probably tired of me going on and on about her hair but I lOVE it)
6- I am soooo glad that Boat Lake is open again, I only wish it didn't feel like bath water, shout out to Blue Springs where the water is 60 something degrees...
7- I'm trying not to cry, and people, I, am not a crier, because I just found out that someone I knew a long time ago is now SAVED! So I will take this moment to encourage any of you, that may have been praying for the salvation of someone, GOD ANSWERS PRAYER!, keep lifting that person up and confess that they are SAVED.
8- I have been cooking every night for... I'm counting.... ok its been close to a month, are you proud of me? and yes, baking a ready-made sub that somebody gave you is cooking...
9- my head is starting to hurt...
10- I love the way my friend Amy laughs, it makes me almost wet my pants everytime... BOOM! (that's for Amy)

by bossychick~ recently a friend's FB status said, 'Ok, so lets stop whining and complaining and do something about it'... and it got me thinking...
I wanted to find her and hug her and make her hold a press conference, to educate the general public on this concept. It soooooo irritates me when people have a problem, and ALL they do is complain, and usually to someone that can't fix the problem anyway... ya know like they just want to hear themselves sing, they don't really want a solution.
I am a problem solver, when something goes wrong, whether it be physical, emotional or otherwise, I go into 'what can I do different to solve this or make it better' mode. I know, I know, I cannot expect for everyone to handle everything, just like I do. But seriously, could I get a little less talk and a lot more action? ( shout out, Toby Keith)
This is my take on this subject... If you were walking and your foot landed in a bucket of dog crap, would you get the ''H" up out of it? or would you stand there and tell 85 people how bad it stinks?
I get so sick of hearing how bad the crap smells... how grody the crap is... how they don't want the crap in their life. HELLO!!! Quit stomping circles in the crap then and pick your foot up and get out of it already, GEEZ! If all you're going to do is talk about it, but never take action, then I have a one way ticket to Shutty Town, just for you.( for people who don't watch King of Queens, that means shut up!) It makes me so mad, I want to burn down Sonny's BBQ ( which is bad, because I would really like to be buried there I love it so much)
There are 2 morals of my rant ... 1- if you complain to me, you will be offered a solution, if you chose not to take the solution, fine, but don't come back to me and complain about the same old crap over and over and over, when you are doing NOTHING to change it...2- you don't really have to tell me or anybody else your problem at all, you could just get your foot out of that nasty bucket, and wash it yourself!
That being said, if you want to talk to me, about something, you are more than welcome. I will listen to anyone about anything, just don't come to me if all your doing is testing your vocal range, because I don't like your song, it stinks...like dog crap.
*Note* this is not directed at any one person, actually its directed at many, lol, thats a joke, its really not directed at any one person... but like they always say 'if the shoe fits...'
I would like to add, I know that God has the solutions to all our problems, so if you find yourself in need of an ear, maybe you should try Him, but I think He's a problem solver too, so get ready to take some action.

by bossychick~ so I'm gonna use Baby's extra...
21- 'call me Mr. Flintstone, I can make your bed rock' is the STUPIDEST lyric I have EVER heard!!!!!!!
22- the new show Parenthood on NBC ( comes on after Biggest Loser), is one of my new favorites, it makes me cry every time, and that means its good, because I am not a crier.
23- # 9 on my last list was a joke, I really am pregnant.......
24- I enjoy being organized and efficient ( although my home doesn't always look like it, I know where everything is, but nobody else does, lol). Baby Girl's party is in a week and a half, and I've had the decorations made for about 6 weeks, and have everything I need for party set-up in a box ready to go, and that makes me happy.
25- # 23 is a lie from the pit of H-E- double hockey sticks!

by bossychick~ so here's my 25-
1- I laughed until I cried, twice, during Spring Break, over Planner cramming, full force, into a glass door (#21 on her list), I'm smiling just thinking about it, but that's another blog for another day, and yes we have pictures!... and no, I didn't laugh until I cried in front of her, I waited until I got in bed.
2- Baby Girl is Houdini, she can un-lock deadbolts, doorknobs and any other obstacle you can think of.
3- I realize that I am officially a 'dorky aunt', my nieces and nephews haven't voiced it, but I can tell they think it.
4- I love love love all the flowers blooming, I think they are so beautiful, I love that my yard has 4 different colors of azalea's, and I don't mind the pollen, probably because I am one of the only people I know that isn't affected by it.
5- I am about to pee on myself to see Clash of the Titan's, I literally get an adrenaline rush when I see the commercial, when I was a kid I used to watch the original over and over, and I used to think it looked so real, my favorite was the Pegasus, but I've seen it since I've been an adult and its practically clay-mation!
6- I want to stone Mr. Planner and Mr. Baby for going to see Clash of the Titan's without me... I have informed them they are dead to me, so if in the future, I refer to Baby and Planner as widows, this is why.
7- I can't wait for all these babies to be born so I can snuggle them and then give them back and go home and sleep all night.
8- I am going to call Planner's baby Billy Ray, if its a boy ( see her # 7 and # 8, and you'll get this), I might call it this, if its a girl, too.
9- now more than ever, I am SOOOO glad that I'm not pregnant, everyone has been waiting for me to announce that I'm pregnant, since I'm the only chick out of the '08 four, that's not having a '10 baby, but I'm not and I'm glad. Also, I work at the Department of Redundancy Department.
10- In my head I'm still 25.
11- My husband is constantly being told he looks way younger than he really is, a lady last week thought he was in his early 20's.....he's 38.
12- btw, nobody thinks I'm younger than I am
13- My mother is the best person I know.
14- My mother gets on my nerves more than any other person I know! She says she's going to have a T-shirt made to wear when she's with me that says, ' Her last nerve is MINE'. I liken her to Fred Astaire, because she tap dances so well, right on top of my last nerve!
15- I love how Planner's baby and Baby Girl get excited about seeing each other, when we're in the car and we pass their road, Baby Girl points down the road and calls his name.
16- I wrecked a bike, like an 8 year old, duringSpring Break. I think it was a God-smack for laughing so hard at Planner's glass door mis-hap.
17- I'm tired of shaving my armpits, I won't stop doing it, I'm just tired of it.
18- We went to the beach last Friday, and I don't like it when the super-hot chick in the pink bikini, sits in the most unattractive position that one can sit and still looks awesome. I don't fault her though, because if I looked like she looks,I would have been there naked, just sayin'.
19- Anytime I see somebody that shouldn't be wearing what they're wearing, Rod Stewart's 'If you want my body, and you think I'm sexy...' goes through my head, sometimes I even sing it out loud.
20- Note: man in the blue Speedo at the beach, if you happen to be reading this, yes, I was singing to you. Drunkard walking by with beer bottles who said 'Sing it girl!', no, I wasn't singing to you.
21- While eating her Easter candy Baby Girl handed me a huge laugh. She started talking and chocolate oozed out of her mouth which made The Boy gag. I had just asked one of the older kids to hand me a wipe and that's when the gagging started, all he could say was ' I can't!!'
22- I can't get enough of Biggest Loser on NBC. I love it and usually decide to start an exercise program, and then just end up eating a snack while I watch it.
23- The smell of coconut is my favorite these days, ever since the 'Beach' Scentsy car freshener I bought, I can't get over it.
24- My older brother is my favorite to tell funny stories to, he not only thinks the story is as funny as I think it is, but he will also roll on the floor about it. I told him something that The Boy did recently, and he literally hit the floor laughing.
25- I wish I could skip across the jetties at the beach like I could when I was young, Sassy once told me I was part mountain goat while we we're there, almost 20 years ago (yikes! 20 years ago). I was there last Friday and told that story, then decided to go out on the rocks. My head said you can do it, my body said Ha! I gave up after hobbling three rocks from the shore ( might have been another God-smack, this time for making fun of Sassy). I was walking back to my spot on the beach and the friend who was with me said, 'Look at him! He's running across the rocks!', I turn to look at this freak of nature, who must be some young teenager... it was my 38 year old husband!!! GEEZ!

by bossychick~ I wasn't going to blog this yet, but after reading Sassy's last blog, I decided to go ahead, since it touches on something she said.
This is from a devotion I recently read: To Him Who ever loves us and has once loosed and freed us from our sins by His own blood. - Revelations 1:5
We need to get to the place where we are secure enough in who we are in Christ that we will not allow our sense of self worth to be based on the opinions and actions of others.
Don't try to find your worth in how you look. Don't try to find your worth in what you do. Don't try to find your worth in how other people treat you. You are worth something because Jesus shed His blood for you.
You may have faults, and there may be things about you that need to be changed, but God is working on you the same as He is on everybody else. Don't let somebody dump their problems off on you. Don't allow someone else to make you feel worthless or useless just because they don't know how to treat you right and love you as you deserve to be loved as a blood-bought child of God.
Don't spend all your life trying to win somebody else's acceptance or approval. Remember that you have already been accepted and approved by God. Make sure your affirmation, your validation , and your sense of self-worth come from Him...
This really spoke to me, because its something I can relate to, having once been that person, seeking approval, but I went through a time in my life when I realized nobody else's opinion matters but God's.
This may be something you want, but don't know how to achieve.
Let me tell you first that it is such FREEDOM not to be bound by what others think of me. I used to be the person that sought approval and let others opinions sway me, but several years back I was delivered. I say all the time 'I don't care what other people think of me, or if people like me'. I think sometimes others take that as, I don't care about other people, or that I'm mean. When really that's not it at all. I just know that at the end of the day, what Whatser-face thought doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, all that matters is the opinion of my God, so back to achieving it...
Pray. Ask God to show you His love for you, He's always showing us His love, sometimes we overlook it or don't give Him the credit, so maybe ask Him to reveal to you His love in your life.
Also, ask Him to give you His wisdom and discernment in recognizing your "pattern". We all have one, I call it the ' song and dance', its when a situation presents itself ( over and over, through different people and different circumstances, but its the same), and we react the same way every time. This might be God trying to teach us to respond instead of react. If we learn to respond instead of react, then the situation is more likely to end in success (which would be, conquering the "pattern"). If we continue to react the same old way then we will stay stuck doing our same 'song and dance', until one day it clicks in us and we yield and God then teaches us what He wants us to know.
Once you recognize your 'song' ( on a side note, I think I overuse quotation marks, but I like them) and you catch yourself taking the familiar steps of your 'dance', STOP yourself and say- Will this person's opinion, actions, acceptance be the list that God measures me against when I get to heaven? It doesn't matter who it is standing before you, the answer will be NO. This may sound silly but it helps me keep things in perspective when insecurity tries to creep up. I realize that there isn't always a person standing in front of us when we deal with insecurity, but it usually stems from something that person may have said, that we've remembered, and can't let go of, so it still applies.
Next say this out loud everyday (my mom used to have us repeat this after her every morning when I was a kid and I hated doing it, but now I'm so glad she did) so anyway here it is, and this is all from the Bible btw...
I am the head, and not the tail, I am on top and not beneath, I'm blessed going in and I'm blessed going out, I HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST, I can do all things through Christ Jesus, who strengthens me, no evil shall befall me nor plague come nigh my dwelling, no weapon formed against me shall prosper, I have favor with man and favor with my authority, my God did not give me a spirit of fear but He gave me power, love and a sound mind, and I will walk in that power, love and sound mind, Father let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be in line with Your word and acceptable to You today, in Jesus name, Amen.
When you say these words over yourself everyday, your spirit man will get a boost and your flesh will line up with the word of God. Quit taking it so personally when you falter, remind yourself of these things and keep going. Don't look at it as an inadequacy in YOU, because its not. Look at it as a step in a growing progress. Think of this, when a baby is around 1 and begins learning to walk, do you spank them every time they fall down?, or do you encourage them to try again? You encourage them. So don't beat yourself up, encourage yourself with God's word.
Satan will try everything he can to deceive us and keep us rockin' to our same 'song and dance'. So I encourage you to run a new song through your head, and get a new dance.
I used to teach this to 4 year olds, and it speaks volumes-
I am fearfully and wonderfully made...Psalms 139: 14
He made us the way He wanted us to look and be, so don't let satan play on your insecurities. Know your worthy, because you are HIS!

by bossychick~ Recently I went to the local consignment sale, and a friend of mine was there selling this stuff called Scentsy. Well, I had never really heard of it but she had some of it burning and it had the whole place smelling fantastic!
However, I'm a little hesitant to buy smell good stuff because I'm very sensitive to smell, but this stuff was so good I almost gave myself a nose bleed from sniffing it so much, lol. So, I sniffed and sniffed and sniffed some more, trying to decide what scent to buy, there were so many great scents. I ended up choosing a car freshener that is called "Beach".
Now every time I get in the car I want to put on a suit and head to beach. When I close my eyes its like I'm in the sun with the smell of suntan oil, hot sand, and a Margarita ( virgin or not, your choice, and being served by a scantily clad cabana boy or your husband, again, your choice..... if you don't think this is funny please send all hate mail to Sassy's site, pleaseunderstandthisisjustajoke@getasenseofhumor.com)
Anyway I love love love the smell! And if your looking for something to make your home or car smell great you should check this out. I love for my home to smell good but don't always like burning candles. Scentsy flameless candles is the solution, it melts a cube of scented wax using the heat from a light bulb, so you don't have to worry about burning your house down if you forget to blow out the candle, and its NOT hot enough to burn little fingers, if they should discover it.
